About the Artist:
I was born in the Philippines and migrated to Sydney Australia in the 1990s. I was raised on all the classic cartoons, comics and video games of the 1990s as well as being raised Catholic and educated by the Christian Brothers in Northern Sydney. I picked up pencils in primary school and have not stopped drawing ever since.
I then studied fine arts at the Sydney Gallery School, (Adv Dip over 4 years) before answering God's calling to being a Missionary and joined a team of other Young Catholics to minister to young people all over sydney in Catholic schools and parish-based youth groups. I've been blessed to be a part of a number of World Youth Days all over the world as a pilgrim leader. I obtained my Bachelors of Theology and majored in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. I graduated with Honours in 2015. My honours thesis looked at Aesthetics, beauty as a transcendental path to holiness and Video Games.
While studying I gave art lessons in a variety of mediums, aiming to give individual students foundational principles of art and the discipline associated with excellence. I was creating a body of work that spanned Catholic religious art as well as fan art from my favourite comics and video games. My work has been in several exhibitions, I've run a D&D group and founded the Society of Philosophy and Theology at Notre Dame.
After graduation I began the process of dedicating myself to my art which you are free to browse here.
